The Ireland Women’s Lacrosse team play in a European Championship Quarter-final later today against Wales.

They topped their group with wins over Austria, Norway, Portugal, and Czechia and now face a Wales team that came second in their group behind Scotland. Hopes are high for advancing to the semi-final and automatic qualification for the World Championships in Japan.

The other teams in the quarter-final are England, Italy, Germany, Israel, Czechia, and Scotland.

The event is taking place in Braga, Portugal, and has been attracting enthusiastic crowds, though Ireland’s beating of the hosts 12-0 on Sunday might have taken some of the joy out of the local fans.

The matches are being streamed live on the WELC 2024 YouTube site, and over the next seven days, we will track the games featuring Ireland on our Rolling Guide to TV and Streaming.
