The Draw for the 2024 Sports Direct Men’s FAI Cup Quarter-Finals has been confirmed with a repeat of the 2022 Final on the cards as Derry City host Shelbourne.

The Top two in the Men’s Premier Division of the SSE Airtricity League of Ireland were the last two left in the pot when the draw was live streamed on the FAI YouTube Channel at lunchtime.

UCD were first out drawing a home tie against Bohemians who, after a disappointing league campaign are perhaps in greatest need of a deep run in the Cup.

The same though applies to Drogheda United, the only other top=flight team left in the competition. They face a trip to the midlands to play against Athlone Town.

One First Division side is guaranteed a spot in the semifinals at least with Wexford hosting treaty United in the fourth of the Quarter-Finals.

It is too early yet to begin speculating on the likely make up of the Final but with a crowd in excess of 45,000 attending last year’s game between Bohemians and St Pats, the attraction of the biggest single game in the domestic season has the potential to open up to a whole new audiences and for some of the big towns outside of Dublin to potentially embty on the big day in November.

2024 Sports Direct Men’s FAI Cup Quarter-Finals

UCD v Bohemians
Athlone Town v Drogheda United
Wexford v Treaty United

Ties will be played week ending September 15
