Boxing Ireland has announced a new partnership with global boxing equipment brand Sting, a deal that will see the federation supplied with high-performance equipment while also marking Boxing Ireland’s strategic move into the retail space across Ireland and Northern Ireland.
Under the agreement, Sting will become Boxing Ireland’s official equipment partner, providing equipment to support athletes, clubs and competitions nationwide. In parallel, Boxing Ireland will retail Sting products, making elite-level gear more accessible to the domestic boxing community.
Sting is recognised internationally for its focus on innovation, safety standards and craftsmanship. The brand supplied all equipment for the recent World Boxing Championships and last week’s Boxing Ireland Elite National Championships, reinforcing its credentials at the highest level of the sport.
The announcement comes just days after Boxing Ireland’s historic rebrand and represents the federation’s second major partnership reveal since September, following its multi-year apparel agreement with global sportswear brand Nike.
Speaking on the announcement, Boxing Ireland CEO Gary Stewart said the partnership would deliver benefits across every level of the sport.
“We are delighted to welcome Sting as our official equipment partner,” he said. “Sting is a brand synonymous with quality, innovation and excellence in boxing. This partnership ensures our athletes have access to equipment that meets the highest international standards, enhancing both performance and safety across all our programmes. It’s important that our partnerships benefit all levels of the sport and we’re excited for the impact this can have for our clubs.”
Stewart added that the agreement also supports Boxing Ireland’s evolving commercial strategy.
“This collaboration marks an important step as we expand into the retail space, joining Sting’s partner group on the island of Ireland,” he said. “The commercial revenue generated will be reinvested directly back into boxing and boxers, supporting the continued growth and development of the sport nationwide. I’d like to thank Sting founder Amir Anis for his vision and support of Boxing Ireland.”
Sting Managing Director Amir Anis said the partnership reflects the brand’s commitment to working with leading boxing nations.
“We are honoured to partner with Boxing Ireland, an organisation with a proud history and a strong vision for the future of the sport,” he said. “Irish boxing has an outstanding reputation on the world stage, and we are excited to support its continued success by providing premium equipment to its athletes and clubs.”
Boxing Ireland’s new retail operation is scheduled to launch in Spring, adding a new commercial channel designed to support long-term investment back into the sport.
