Ticketing technology platform TicketCo, one of the newest members of the Sport for Business community, has expanded its partnership with Waterford FC to become the club’s official Front of Shorts Partner for both the men’s and women’s teams for the 2026 League of Ireland season.

The agreement builds on an existing relationship that saw TicketCo appointed as the club’s official ticketing partner ahead of the 2026 campaign and reflects the growing role technology and fan engagement platforms are playing within Irish football.

Founded in Bergen, Norway in 2013, TicketCo has grown from an event-focused startup into a major European sports ticketing platform, working with clubs and leagues across Ireland, the UK and Scandinavia to streamline operations, grow revenues and improve the supporter experience.

The company also provides ticketing services in Ireland for Bohemians, Sligo Rovers, Cork City and Bray Wanderers.

Speaking on the extended partnership, Waterford FC Chief Operating Officer Richy Walsh said the agreement reflected the strong relationship that has developed between both organisations.

“We’re absolutely delighted to extend our partnership with TicketCo and now welcome them as our front-of-shorts sponsor for both our men’s and women’s teams,” he said.

“This step reflects the strength of our relationship and our shared ambition to continue driving the club forward, both on and off the pitch.”

TicketCo VP for UK and Ireland David Kenny said the enhanced sponsorship demonstrated the company’s commitment to supporting the club beyond ticketing operations alone.

“We are very proud to deepen our partnership with Waterford FC through this sponsorship,” he said.

“Visibility on the playing kit is a fantastic way to connect our brand with supporters, and it reflects our commitment to supporting the club both on and off the pitch.

“At TicketCo, everything we do is focused on creating the best fan journey in the world and partnerships like this allow us to bring that vision to life for Waterford supporters.”

The expanded agreement is another example of how commercial partnerships in Irish football are increasingly being shaped around technology, fan data and supporter experience, as clubs continue to professionalise both their operations and commercial offerings across the League of Ireland.
