Our Forum on the Future of Volunteering in Irish Sport has been postponed until early in 2027.
We will have further news in the coming weeks about bringing together leaders from clubs, governing bodies, local authorities, education, and the wider sporting community to explore how to firmly place volunteering at the centre of grassroots sport.
The new Clubspot / Sport for Business 30 Under 30 Young Volunteers in Sport initiative will still launch as planned on the same day.
Sport for Business Founder Rob Hartnett said:
“We are facing a very slow rebuild towards the numbers that were committed before the interruption caused by Covid, but the timing of this gathering was not quite right, and so we will reconvene at a better time in the calendar in a few months.”
“Rather than facing this universal challenge alone, let’s come together and do some smart thinking about how we can reignite Ireland’s desire to give of its time and energy.”
