The NBA rolled into Manchester last night for an exhibition game between Oklahoma Thunder and the Philadelphia 76’ers. The Arena was packed, including with stars of Manchester United and the game proved dramatic with 202 points on the board. It is part of a major push by the NBA to crack international markets.
The ad featured in today’s Daily Video will be one of six to air across as many as 43 countries throughout the season ahead. Could we one day see an exhibition game in Dublin. Anything is possible though sources say the package to bring three games to Manchester, including one women’s one pre-Olympic and last night’s pre-season blow out may have cost as much as £2 million.
