Patrick Haslett is pictured receiving his award from Rob Hartnett, founder of Sport for Business. The unique trophy was produced for the event by Ruth Liddle of Created.

Coaching featured strongly with presentations from the National Athlete Development Academy and Support 2 Perform.

The Irish Rugby Union Players Association unveiled a pilot project around the transition from retirement to work as opposed to the normal reversal of that process.
The South Dublin Local Sports Partnership presented ways in which business can engage at local level through sporting events like Ramble Aid, while Club Colours presented it’s business for clubs that won through in the Arthur Guinness Projects funding last month. SNAG Golf introduced it’s plan to teach golf through schools.
Challenge 10 was a powerful presentation on a cycling initiative aimed at raising awareness of mental health and Sport for Daughters will be a simple initiative across all sports to expand the appeal of sport to young girls and assist business with corporate social responsibility initiatives.

This was the second year of the event and it sold out so put a date in the diary if you want to be part of next year’s renewal which will take place on Tuesday October 7th. It will help to provisionally reserve a space by contacting us today.
Those who attended will receive a survey form later today seeking their views on the programmes presented and we will help to cement the connections made, as well as bring the opportunities to wider audiences over the coming days and weeks.
Thank you to all who took part, and to Ulster Bank, our partner in the event who made it possible through providing such a great facility overlooking the city.
