Backing Club and County - AIB launch sponsorship of GAA Football All-Ireland Senior Championships

AIB has officially launched its partnership with the GAA All Ireland Football Championship.  In this first year the focus is very much on linking the Club and Inter County games.  This is the first time that the same sponsor has been involved with both levels and the links in terms of all the GAA’s core values are being well represented.

#TheToughest campaign which won the award for best digital activation at last year’s Irish Sponsorship Awards has been followed though with social media posts highlighting individual players who have performed at both levels and are ones to watch in the big Championship games of the weekend.

The launch imagery shot in Croke Park highlights two of the potential stars of the summer Kerry’s James O’Donoghue and Mayo’s Aidan O’Shea.  Both are wearing Club and County colours.

Both players feature across all the mainstream media this morning having been brought together by the sponsor for a launch reception in Dublin yesterday.

It’s a frantic time of year for the GAA and sponsors with a new launch almost daily as the Championship revs up for the summer.

Later today it will be the turn of Liberty Insurance who will launch the third year of their sponsorship of the All Ireland Hurling Championship.
