AIB will once again skip across the line dividing sponsorship from broadcasting next weekend when it live streams this year’s AIB All-Ireland Camogie Senior and Intermediate Club Championship Finals from Croke Park.

The games will be shown live on aib.ie/GAA, facebook.com/AIBGAA and on their own YouTube channel.

AIB led the way in social media driven branded content in 2017 with their Jeff and Kammy mini documentary series. Read our interview about that campaign with AIB’s Mark Doyle here.

This year’s Senior Final is a repeat of last year’s renewal between Slaughtniel from Derry and Sarsfields from Galway, while Kildare’s Johnstownbridge and Galway’s Athenry are on the hunt for All-Ireland glory in the AIB All-Ireland Intermediate Club Championship Final.

There has already been celebration for members of the Senior finalists, as Slaughtneil’s Clare McGrath and Sarsfields’ Niamh McGrath both picked up AIB Provincial Club Player of The Year Awards for Ulster and Connacht respectively.

“The level of dedication and commitment exemplified by the players from all four clubs in pursuit of All-Ireland glory must be acknowledged and commended,” said Camogie Association President, Catherine Neary.

“The Club Championships are undoubtedly one of the toughest competitions to win and they occupy a special place in the hearts of all Camogie and Gaelic Games followers.”

“For all of us, the club is where it all begins and on March 4th communities from all the Gaelic Games family will unite behind their team as they cheer on the players who are representing their parishes on the biggest sporting stage in Croke Park on what is a very special occasion for players, their families and club members.”

“It is truly our honour to be a partner for one of the toughest championships in sport,” added Maol Muire Tynan, Head of Public Affairs at AIB.

“It all begins at home in the club. The passion and commitment from players and supporters is truly exceptional. All teams have faced many tough challenges to make it this far and AIB has been privileged to support them every step of the way.”
