Allianz has today announced the extension of its partnership with the GAA, renewing its title sponsorship of the Allianz Leagues for an additional five years. The extension will see Allianz remain as title partner until the end of the 2030 season.
This milestone aligns with the centenary of the Allianz Leagues in 2025, marking 100 years of the historic competition that has become a highlight of the GAA calendar. It also marks Allianz’s 33rd year as title partner of the inter-county competition.
“Our partnership with the GAA and title sponsorship of the Allianz Leagues has been a cornerstone of our business for over three decades and we are very proud to announce the extension of our sponsorship, during this historic year,” said Allianz Chief Customer Officer Geoff Sparling this morning.
“Supporting communities is at the heart of what Allianz is all about and nothing reflects community togetherness and pride more than Gaelic Games.”
“Throughout our partnership, we have been privileged to witness many great sporting moments, from the making of legends, to the highs and lows of nail-biting wins and losses. We are excited for another thrilling season and honoured to be a part of this historic, landmark year.”
“The Allianz Leagues, which encompass football and hurling, have long provided a platform for players to showcase their talents and stake a claim for a spot on their county panels. With the implementation of the GAA’s seven new rule changes in Gaelic Football, we are also likely to see a very different and exciting season.”
“As we celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Allianz Leagues in 2025, it is very important to recognise the vital role this competition has played in shaping Gaelic Games and our talented athletes,” added GAA President Jarlath Burns.
“The continued support from Allianz, one of the longest-standing sports sponsors in Ireland, is instrumental in ensuring the League’s’ success. We look forward to another season of exhilarating competition and the moments of history it will undoubtedly bring.”
There is plenty of Allianz Football League action across all divisions this weekend, with Dublin taking on Mayo, Tyrone taking on Derry, and Galway facing Armagh at Pearse Stadium. This weekend is also jam-packed with action from the Allianz Hurling League, where Dublin face Antrim, Clare take on Kilkenny, and Galway take on Tipperary.
Allianz has been a steadfast supporter of the GAA for over three decades, and this sponsorship renewal underscores its commitment to fostering the spirit of Gaelic Games for years to come.
