The Irish Life Dublin Marathon and Athletics Ireland have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to reinforce their joint commitment to continue their close working relationship.
For many years, the Athletics Ireland National Marathon Championship has been facilitated within the Irish Life Dublin Marathon and this relationship will continue going forward.
The Irish Life Dublin Marathon continues to generously support the Irish Championship individual and team prize fund together with time bonuses for exceptional Irish athlete performances.
This prize fund together with additional Marathon Mission support will ensure Irish endurance athletes are supported to compete with the best in the World.
“The Irish Life Dublin Marathon is a world class event in every respect and the opportunity for our elite endurance athletes to perform in their own backyard is incredible,” said Athletics Ireland High Performance Director, Paul McNamara.
“We look forward to working even more closely with Dublin Marathon to support our international endurance group through Marathon Mission.”

The 2023 Irish Life Dublin Marathon takes place on Sunday 29th October 2023.
Close to 300,000 spectators will line the streets of Dublin for the event delivering a significant economic impact to the Dublin economy.
