Partnership Announcement: GAA/GPA and AvonmoreAvonmore Protein Milk has been launched in Northern Ireland, resulting in an extra benefit for members of the Gaelic Players Association.

The GPA signed a ten year revenue share deal with Glanbia Consumer Products in 2014 which sees players promote the product and a payment coming back to the Association based on each carton sold.

The income goes towards the GPA Player Development Programme, supported by the GAA. This Programme assists county players in critical areas of their off-field lives including education, career and personal development, health and wellbeing.

The deal already covered all existing 2,200 members though players and supporters of Antrim, Armagh, Derry, Down, Fermanagh and Tyrone will now be able to buy the branded product in their local stores.

slimline-2015-tile3The expansion of the range of stores in which the sports branded product is available will be backed up over the coming weeks by a promotional campaign underway around Glanbia’s new support of the Great Pink Run through it’s Slimline brand.

The event has been moved forward to the last weekend in August and will take place this year in the Phoenix Park where a large turnout of runners is expected and a significant amount is to be raised for Breast Cancer Research.
