On today’s Sport for Business Daily, We are joined by Cian Murphy from the GAA’s Communications Department.
He has been a key player on a strong team of individuals that have been central to the commemoration of Bloody Sunday that comes to a head on Saturday, November 21st, 100 years on from the dark day in Irish history.
He gives us a fascinating look behind the scenes of how the whole programme came together, he pays tribute to the dedication of Michael Foley in bringing the stories of the 14 who died to the fore in ‘The Bloodied Field’ and highlights the important role played by a single entry in a programme for an International Rules match at Croke Park.
He also reveals the story behind the selection of Croke Park as the home of the GAA, how it is nor tied completely to Jones’s Road but how that might not have been the case…
Watch it here or listen back and enjoy the memories.
