The Irish Open has secured a three year extension with BMW to be the official car of the tournament for the next three years.
This year’s Irish Open takes place at Royal Portrush from June 28th to July 1st.  It is the first time it has taken place in Northern Ireland for almost 60 years and will feature the current Open and US Open Champions Darren Clarke and Rory McIlroy, as well as US PGA Champion Keegan Bradley and Irish major winners Graeme McDowell and Padraig Harrington.
In 2013 the Irish Open will return to Carton House where it will feature as a key event in The Gathering.
“BMW is an outstanding long-term partner of The European Tour in general and the Irish Open in particular,” said James Finnigan, commercial director of the Irish Open. “We are delighted to be able to extend our arrangement with BMW through until 2014 and to know that the players, officials and VIPs will have the best possible service during the tournament.”
