
Taylor and the Irish team remained at ringside and when Mavzuna Choriyeva of Turjistan defeated her French opponent it meant only two European boxers had made it to the semi finals and both wer now assured of fighting in London.
Tarlor faces Choriyeva in the semi final which will be broadcast live on RTE at 0800 on Friday morning.
With the pressure of Olympic qualification now off her shoulders, Taylor will look to go on and claim a fourth World title following victories in 2006, 2008 and 2010.
