Bookmaker Boylesports has confirmed that it is to extend its sponsorship of horse racing coverage on all of RTÉ’s channels for another year.
The deal covers all racing output on television, radio and online and is a roll over of the original deal signed in 2014.
The Dundalk based company has also made a major commitment to the Boylesports Irish Grand National which will be worth €500,000 in prize money this year and is entering the fourth year of what is now a six year deal.
A two year deal to provide sponsorship support to Irish Greyhound Racing through the Boylesports irish Derby is expected to be renewed this summer.

Boylesports Back Irish National to €500K
RTÉ broadcasts 24 days of live Irish racing coverage on television each year, featuring all the major festivals, with live television coverage also simulcast on RTÉ Player within the Republic of Ireland. The major festivals, including Punchestown, Galway and the Christmas Festival at Leopardstown, will be broadcast live, as well as the biggest races of the year: the BoyleSports Irish Grand National, the Qipco Irish Champion Stakes and the blue-riband event of the flat season, the Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby.
The current extension is for one year and will see BoyleSports feature in all RTÉ racing coverage on television, radio and online. BoyleSports will also appear on RTÉ’s In-Vision split-screen television advertisements across all of RTÉ’s Irish racing coverage.
RTÉ and BoyleSports will continue to develop innovative integrations between live television and mobile applications to support the ever-increasing number of sports fans who are watching racing while multi-tasking through their mobile devices.
