BoyleSports has announced that former jockey Bryan Cooper has joined its stable of horse racing ambassadors a little over two weeks out from the Cheltenham National Hunt Festival.
Cooper, who enjoyed an illustrious career in the saddle, rode the Gordon Elliott-trained, Michael O’Leary owned Don Cossack to victory in the 2016 Cheltenham Gold Cup.
He will now use his first-hand experience on racing’s biggest stages to provide exclusive expert insights, previews and analysis to customers and horse racing fans alike.
He joins former weigh-room colleague Robbie ‘Puppy’ Power and trainer John ‘Shark’ Hanlon to form a big-hitting trio of horse racing representatives for the bookie.
“I am delighted to be joining the BoyleSports family and look forward to sharing my experiences and insights with racing fans,” he said today.
“As huge supporters of racing, particularly in Ireland, BoyleSports is a brand that clearly values this great sport, and I’m thrilled to be on board in time for another Cheltenham Festival which promises so much excitement.”
The Kerryman also shared his big tips for the Festival, insisting Gold Cup favourite and Willie Mullins’ banker, Galopin Des Champs, will not be denied in his quest for a third consecutive victory in the big race: “I cannot see him getting beaten, even a below par run compared to his other two Gold Cups will be good enough to win this.”
“I’ve never seen a horse win an Irish Gold Cup at Leopardstown the way Galopin Des Champs has done it the last two times. The distance he puts between himself and good horses from the back of the last fence to the line is exceptional. It’s very nice to watch and hopefully he’ll get the job done at Cheltenham.”
“We are thrilled to welcome Bryan Cooper as our new horse racing ambassador to strengthen our commitment to providing top-tier analysis and tips,” added Sharon McHugh, Head of PR and Sponsorship for the sponsor of the Boylesports Irish National at Fairyhouse.
“With such an impressive career, and alongside Robbie and Shark, we’re confident Bryan’s addition to the team to form a fantastic racing trio will bring an added dimension to our racing coverage.”
“We look forward to working with him during the Cheltenham Festival and beyond.”
