Dublin will make their first TV appearance of the new year on Saturday with TG4 committing to show the final of the O’Byrne Cup live from Netwatch Dr Cullen Park in Carlow.
Dessie Farrell’s side will not know their opponents until the semi-final clash between Laois and Kildare taking place on Wednesday.
The broadcaster will follow the Leinster game with live coverage of the Ulster pre-season decider in the Dr McKenna Cup with the semi-finals of that also to be held on Wednesday.
On Sunday afternoon the TG4 focus will be back to the AIB All-Ireland Senior Club Championships.
Waterford’s Ballygunner will take on Derry’s Slaughtneil in Parnell Park in Dublin while the reigning champions Ballyhale Shamrocks will take on Galway winners St Thomas in Semple Stadium.
It will be a busy weekend for the TG4 team as they will also be broadcasting live from the National Basketball Arena with the finals of the Men’s and Women’s national Cups on Saturday and Sunday evenings.
