Paddy Power links up for year with Ruby Walsh
Bookmaker Paddy Power has confirmed a one-year promotional deal with National Hunt Champion Jockey Ruby Walsh.
Walsh is favourite to be the leading jockey at this week’s Cheltenham Festival, as he has been in each of the last four years. He has recorded social media with the bookmaker which has been released in recent days.
He is now committed to a range of activities including weekly interviews, public appearances, festival previews and further social media projects promoting the company across Britain and Ireland.
The 2012 Cheltenham Festival will be broadcast here on RTE and Racing UK, and by Betfair-subsidiary TVG in the United States.  The first race each day will be at 0830 Eastern but that will not deter TVG account holders from placing pari mutual bets on the 28 races.
Among the horses likely to run well today in our humble estimation are Tetlami (1.30); Cue Card (2.05); Zarrafakt (2.40); Hurricane Fly and Zaidpour (3.20) and Maljimar (4.20).
Sport for Business member on Dragons Den
The first company to appear on the current series of RTE’s Dragons Den was Clubs to Hire, a friend of Sport for Business since before our launch.  It provides a golf club and equipment hire service across Europe and has clubs ready on arrival at seven key airports.
The main benefit of the service is avoiding the charges levied by most airlines and the ability to try out the latest clubs from all the big brands.
We will have more detail about the business behind the company in a future issue of Sport for Business Weekly.
