The League of Ireland has announced a new four-year partnership with iconic Irish soft drink brand Club, which will become the Official Soft Drink Partner of the League of Ireland through to the end of the 2029 season.
The agreement spans all three League of Ireland divisions, underlining Club’s commitment to supporting football across the SSE Airtricity Men’s and Women’s Premier Divisions, as well as the SSE Airtricity Men’s First Division. It represents a league-wide partnership that reflects the continued rise in attendances, broadcast reach and supporter engagement across domestic football in Ireland.
As part of the deal, Club branding will feature across League of Ireland competitions, with a range of activations designed to enhance the matchday experience for supporters and to connect with fans through the league’s expanding digital platforms. The partnership also includes Club becoming the Official Sponsor of League of Ireland Match Officials, providing dedicated support for referees across all competitions.
FAI Commercial Director Sean Kavanagh said the partnership aligns closely with the league’s ongoing development.
“Today marks another important milestone for the League of Ireland and the FAI,” he said.
“The partnership provides meaningful support for the league and its continued growth, and we’re excited to work with such a strong, authentic Irish brand that shares our ambition to connect with fans and elevate the domestic game. Club’s energy and creativity make them a fantastic fit for the League of Ireland and its passionate supporters.”
League of Ireland Director Mark Scanlon said the long-term nature of the agreement reflects the league’s growing appeal to major Irish brands.
“We are delighted to welcome Club Drinks as the Official Soft Drink Partner of the League of Ireland,” he added.
“This partnership demonstrates the momentum of our league across both the men’s and women’s games, and we look forward to working together over the coming seasons. We’re also particularly pleased that the sponsorship includes support for our Match Officials, who are an integral part of the League of Ireland.”
Marketing Director of Britvic Ireland Stephen Cramp said Club’s identity aligns closely with the culture of domestic football.
“Club has always stood for flavour, fun and Irish realness, and there’s nothing more real or more passionate than the League of Ireland,” he said.
“We’re proud to support a league that’s growing every season and to connect with fans who bring incredible passion to Irish football and their local communities.”
Britvic Ireland Managing Director Kevin Donnelly added that the partnership reflects a broader commitment to Irish sport.
“The League of Ireland is experiencing exceptional growth, and we’re delighted that Club, the Republic of Ireland’s largest indigenous carbonated soft drink brand, will play a role in supporting that momentum—both on the pitch and in the fan experience,” he said.
“We look forward to building something special together over the next four years.”
The partnership adds another high-profile Irish brand to the League of Ireland’s commercial portfolio as the domestic game continues to strengthen its position with supporters, broadcasters and sponsors alike.
Club joins SSE Airtricity, Rockshore, Extra.ie, Evoke.ie, Virgin Media, Umbro and EA Sports as official sponsors and partners.
