The province will launch its new kit for the season later this week with main partners Elverys Intersport to the fore but with the names of Brooks Group and Steeltech Sheds added as new brands to the kit for the first time.
“We are delighted to see Brooks Group elevate their partnership with the club to become a Kit Partner,” said Connacht Rugby Head of Commercial and Marketing Brian Mahoney.
“After recognising the benefits of being a Business Club member for a number of years, we’re happy that Brooks Group have seen the value in becoming a Club Partner to help them achieve their business objectives.”
“A position on the kit is a much sought-after asset, and with increasing TV viewing figures we’re confident that it will help Brooks Group achieve some of their brand exposure goals.”
The new deal is an initial two-year partnership. Brooks Group has branches in Galway, Sligo and nationwide, and are one of the leading timber and building merchants in the country.
The Brooks Group name will be displayed on Connacht’s playing and training shorts for the next two seasons.
“Brooks are delighted to be associated with Connacht Rugby and we see the relationship as a nice fit,” said Brooks Group Managing Director Mark Lohan.
“Brooks is an enduring brand and has seen significant change over the past decade. However, we remain dedicated to quality of product and service and honesty in performance, values that are also to the fore in Connacht Rugby.”
Steeltech Sheds have also come on board as an official partner with the company name to appear on the back of next season’s playing and training shirts.
The Tuam-based company are Ireland’s leading manufacturers of steel sheds, garages, home offices and garden rooms. Having just made a major investment in the company they are expanding into the UK Market.
“Steeltech Sheds are an excellent company who offer a superb product and we are delighted to welcome them on board as partners,” added Mahoney.
“With their head office in Tuam and showrooms across the province and nationally, they are a progressive, ambitious West of Ireland business whose values are very much aligned to our own.”
“Steeltech Sheds are delighted to partner with Connacht Rugby for the forthcoming season,” said compnany founder and CEO Sean Brett.
“We have previously worked with Connacht when we supplied the Clan Bar building and see Connacht Rugby as a fantastic partner for us with our roots in the West of Ireland. We look forward to this partnership as both the club and our company advance.”
