It was a very positive morning at the Sport Ireland Campus when a strong gathering of sports professionals and innovators gathered to try join some dots on how we can all work better.

Finbarr Kirwan is the brilliantly titled Chief of Sport at the US Olympic and Paralympic Committee, a champion of Team USA that is one of our own.

He spoke of the way in which problems can be identified, potential enablers connected and solutions delivered.

He used the increase of US Sprint and Horizontal Jump Medals from seven and no Gold in Tokyo to 15 including five Gold in Paris. It did not happen by accident and we will cover how it did and the lessons it can team us in our full report tomorrow morning.

There was a dizzying presentation on AI from Patrick Lucey of Stats Perform and a series of grounded presentations on getting stuff done in media streaming and engagement from Conor Doherty of Badminton Ireland, Nathaniel Cope from Basketball Ireland and Niamh O’Shea from Cricket Ireland accompanied by Heatley Tector of HBV Studios.

That session rounded out with the alway pin point and presecient thoughts of Stephen O’Leary from Olytico on his Seven Social Media Insights for 2025.

We’ll have them and more tomorrow morning.
