IBI Corporate Finance has signed an extended sponsorship deal with Cricket Leinster, which will see the firm sponsor the expanded Cricket Leinster Premier League for 2025.

The competition, which runs throughout the summer months, will be named the IBI Corporate Finance Leinster Premier League and IBI branding will appear at all major club cricket venues throughout Leinster.

The League will feature 12 teams playing in venues across the province including Pembroke Cricket Club, which was crowned Premier League Champions at the end of the 2024 season.

The opening round of fixtures takes place in late April 2025 with Pembroke, Merrion, Leinster, Phoenix, Clontarf, Malahide, Balbriggan, Rush, Railway Union, North County, Cork County, and The Hills competing to become IBI Corporate Finance Premier League Champions for 2025:

“Cricket is enjoying huge popularity in Ireland at the moment and in Leinster in particular and we’re delighted to sponsor this prestigious and expanded top-level competition for the coming year,” said Tom Godfrey, Chief Executive of IBI Corporate Finance.

“IBI Corporate Finance is the perfect partner for Cricket Leinster and we are delighted to have their brand associated with our most prestigious league competition,” added a spokesperson for Leinster Cricket.

“Their ongoing commitment to this sponsorship reflects the ever-growing interest in the sport from the business community.”

SPORT FOR BUSINESS PERSPECTIVE

The corporate finance sector is a major employer and a significant source of wealth in Dublin and yet is rarely encouraged to get involved in what might be seen as the more consumer led environment of sports sponsorship. We hosted a breakfast for a number of professionals in the sector with Drogheda United ahead of this years Sports Direct FAI Cup, with a great reaction. Perhaps this deal will be a trigger for others.
