The US Women’s Open Golf Tournament takes place in California next week and will also be the catalyst for the latest iteration of the Women’s Golf Day, an initiative started by the PGA Tour in America and which is backed and supported by the R&A, Sky Sports and many others.

Today’s Daily Video is the ‘sizzle reel’ promoting the initiative and hoping to add to the near 1,000 events across 68 countries around the world.

Golf Ireland has a specific charter promoting the advancement of Women in Golf. Next week should be a great way of combining participation and the elite end of the sport, particularly if we get a good showing from Leona Maguire and Stephanie Meadow, both of whom will be teeing up at The Olympic Club in San Francisco.

Golf Ireland and the European Tour are among more than 250+ members of the Sport for Business network of sporting and business organisations working together across a number of key areas.
