Cricket Ireland have announced that Hanley Energy are to be the primary sponsor of the Irish Cricket Team until the end of 2015.
The partnership takes immediate effect and the Hanley Energy logo will now appear on the team playing kit for the remainder of 2015 including for the Hanley Energy Challenge against World Champions Australia on 27th August in Stormont.
The partnership is an extension of Hanley Energy coming on board as official technology partner and sponsors of the Inter Provincial series earlier this year. The benefit to both sides will be reviewed prior to Ireland’s participation in the ICC Twenty20 World Cup in India next March.
Hanley Energy is an Irish owned and based company which specialises in energy solutions for big business including Largo Foods and CIE here and is now making strides in the management of data centres.
Earlier this month they opened Ireland’s first data centre research and development unit where they can simulate any eventuality and train data centre managers accordingly.
Given the global spread of data centres, and opportunities for growth across India and other centres of technical outsourcing, the fit with Cricket Ireland is a strong one.
Irish cricket’s global reach is indicated by social media following across the various platforms that now extends to 400,000, only a fraction of them here in Ireland.
