The Curragh has announced a new partnership with international betting brand 1xBet, which will become the title sponsor of 30 races at Ireland’s premier flat racing venue during the upcoming racing season.
Under the agreement, the company will have title naming rights across the races, all of which will carry the 1xBet.ie name. The sponsorship will include the inaugural Race into Easter Race Day, scheduled for April 3rd at the Kildare racecourse.
The Curragh, home to all five Irish Classics including the Irish Derby and Irish 2000 Guineas, is widely regarded as one of Europe’s leading racecourses. Officials said the new partnership reflects a shared ambition to enhance the race day experience and expand the reach of Irish racing to audiences both at home and internationally.
A spokesperson for 1xBet said horse racing holds a special place in Ireland’s sporting landscape and described The Curragh as “the pinnacle of the sport”.
“We are delighted to partner with such an iconic racecourse and proud to support 30 races through this sponsorship,” the spokesperson said. “Our goal is to contribute to the continued success and global profile of Irish racing while bringing fans closer to the action.”
The company brings 18 years of experience in the gambling and entertainment sector and has built a global portfolio of sports partnerships. These include agreements with football clubs such as FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, as well as organisations including Italy’s Serie A, FIBA and Volleyball World.
Evan Arkwright, Racing and Sponsorship Manager at The Curragh, welcomed the new sponsorship and said it would provide a boost across the race programme.
“The Curragh is delighted to welcome 1xBet as a race sponsor for the season,” he said. “Their support across 30 races is a significant commitment and will help us enhance our prize money across a variety of races, ensuring we continue to attract the most competitive racing.”
The agreement adds another international commercial partner to Irish racing’s flagship flat venue as it prepares for the 2026 season.
