Currys has renewed its partnership with Munster Rugby, continuing as the province’s Official Technology Supplier for the next two seasons.

The extension builds on a collaboration first established in 2021 and underlines Currys’ ongoing commitment to supporting elite performance through advanced technology solutions.

Under the renewed agreement, Currys will continue to equip Munster Rugby’s High-Performance Centre with a range of cutting-edge devices designed to enhance both on- and off-field preparation. This season’s support includes MacBooks and iPads to assist coaching, analysis and daily operations, as well as LG speakers and LG and Samsung televisions to facilitate video review sessions, team meetings and immersive performance analysis.

Microsoft Copilot-enabled laptops will also form part of the technology suite, helping to streamline workflows and generate deeper insights across departments. DJI drones and GoPro cameras will capture multi-angle training footage, synchronised with GPS tracking software to provide detailed player and team analysis. NINJA blenders will further support players’ nutritional preparation and recovery throughout the campaign.

To mark the renewal, Munster Rugby players Calvin Nash, Paddy Patterson and Tony Butler joined Keith McMahon, General Manager at Currys Limerick, and Craig Kelly, Sales Manager at Currys Limerick, at Thomond Park.

Hannah Armstrong, Brand Manager at Currys, said the company was proud to continue its support. “We’re delighted to renew our partnership with Munster Rugby. The technology we provide plays a vital role in supporting the team’s development and competitive edge. At Currys, we’re passionate about delivering the best in tech innovation, and we look forward to helping Munster Rugby achieve success both this season and beyond,” she said.

George Murray, Lead Performance Analyst and Technical Coach at Munster Rugby, said the partnership has been instrumental in maintaining high standards. “We are very welcoming of the continued support to Munster Rugby from Currys. This partnership has allowed us to remain at the forefront of performance technology. Currys provide us with a wide range of products that are used across multiple departments in the organisation. This ensures we are well equipped to relentlessly pursue the 1% gains required both on and off the field,” he said.

As the agreement enters its next phase, both organisations will continue to collaborate on leveraging technology to enhance performance, insight and success across the province.
