Cuala GAA Club is the one to which I devote time to coaching, cheering and a variety of other functions. It has proven to me the impact of a sports club within a community and is ready for the biggest day in its history on Friday when it competes as the first ever Dublin Club to make it to the final of the AIB All Ireland Club Hurling Championship.
Two full dart trains have been chartered to bring fans in after a massive pre-game party at the club facility in Dalkey, and the tickets for the second of those sold out in 15 minutes last night.
The excitement of today though is built on the commitment of the past and the second in the series of AIG’s #BackingEveryStep campaign for 2017, shot by Des Cahill’s son Paul, goes deep into the history of what has brought the club to this day.
