The Galway Race get underway at Ballybrit tonight and will as ever be about so much more than just the horses.
Race Week for Galway folk around the world is the same as Christmas for everyone everywhere else around the country.
They come back, they meet friends, they have the crais and they refresh what it means to be from the City and the County.
Every race at the Festival is sponsored and today’s opening brands in the spotlight are the Galway Bay Hotel, Easyfix, the ClareGalway Hotel, The Connacht Hotel, the Clayton Galway Hotel, Eventus and Monami Construction.
