Sky Sports has produced its first ad to highlight the new coverage of the GAA. The tagline is ‘See things differently’ and there is a focus on super slo mo imagery.
Footballer and Hurler of the Year Michael Darragh Macauley and Tony Kelly star in the ad, shot in an empty Croke Park stadium and the additional benefits of sponsoring at different levels for AIG and Pat O’Donnell on the shirts, O’Neills and the GAA itself on the ball and Warrior on Macauley’s boot.
The ad aired for the first time yesterday and will continue up to the first live Sky game between Kilkenny and Offaly on Saturday June 7th.
Worth noting that the ad was watched over 33,000 times on you tube in the immediate 12 hours after it was uploaded, as opposed to less than 5,000 views of the news report on Luis Van Gaal’s appointment as manager of Manchester United.
