Now that he has decided to step away from the training grounds and the playing fields of the Dublin team, he will have more time and energy to focus on building out the Legacy Communications and Pep Talk businesses which he has created with his cousin James Brogan.
They created Legacy in 2012, just after he had helped Dublin break the sixteen-year famine without Sam Maguire.
Since then they have worked with a host of top clients in communications, sponsorship, PR, ambassador and experiential marketing. AIG, Energia, Littlewoods Ireland, Laya Healthcare, and College Football Ireland are among the Sport for Business members that Legacy advises, as well as Indeed, Glenisk, Volkswagen and many more.
The team of people employed is now up to 18 and rising with Kevin Moore as Managing Director and Rachel Solon heading up the Sports and Sponsorship division.
To mark yesterday’s announcement the Legacy team have created a video tribute including messages from Brian O’Driscoll, Shane Lowry, Colm Cooper and even an alter ego of the man himself.
The end of one chapter is only the start of the next.
Thank you @bernardbrogan 💙 congratulations on an incredible career 🏆 pic.twitter.com/6ctdiEzxKU
