Regardless that it came to an end yesterday, the story of the GAA Football Championship this year has been that of Tipperary. From a first ever success in the Munster Club Championship for Clonmel Commercials through to successive appearances at Croke Park and a first semi final for over 80 years, Tipp have done more than any other county to burst through the perceived golden circle at the top of the sport.
They have been Leicester City or Connacht Rugby for the Championship summer.
