The FAI has secured a further boost to its commercial portfolio with the renewal of its long-standing partnership with DHL Express Ireland, extending the company’s role as Official Logistics Partner for another four years.

The agreement continues a relationship that dates back to the mid-1990s, underlining one of the most enduring sponsorship arrangements in Irish sport. Under the renewed deal, DHL Express Ireland will provide logistical support across all levels of Irish football, delivering for the Ireland Men’s and Women’s Senior Teams as well as all international squads.

The partnership will also see DHL continue its support of the FAI’s Football in Schools programme through the Me & My Ball initiative, ensuring that free footballs are distributed to every primary school nationwide. The scheme has become a central plank of the Association’s grassroots strategy, aimed at increasing participation and strengthening links between schools and local clubs.

Brian Murray, Commercial & Same Day Director at DHL Express Ireland, said the renewal reflects the company’s deep-rooted commitment to Irish football and the communities it serves.

“We are delighted to renew this longstanding partnership and reconfirm our commitment to providing our unparalleled logistics expertise to the FAI,” said Murray. “As Official Logistics Partner to the FAI for nearly 30 years, we have been proud to support Irish international football at all levels.

“More recently, with the addition of the Ireland Women’s National Team and the Primary School initiative ‘Me and My Ball’, DHL has reinforced our long-term commitment not just to Irish football but to the communities it serves.

“As a logistics partner we know the value of teamwork, reliability and performance – qualities we are proud to support on and off the pitch.”

FAI Commercial Director Sean Kavanagh described the renewal as an important endorsement of the Association’s direction of travel.

“It is fantastic to continue our long-standing partnership with DHL who have made a significant contribution to Irish football over the past few decades,” said Kavanagh. “DHL play a vital role for our international teams ensuring we have our product and kit no matter where we are playing around the world and we are excited to continue that work together.”

The extension follows a series of recent commercial renewals and new agreements secured by the FAI with Aviva Ireland and Club Ireland, as it continues to rebuild and strengthen its sponsorship base.

With major qualification campaigns ahead and continued investment in participation initiatives, the DHL renewal provides both operational certainty and commercial stability as the FAI looks to build momentum on and off the pitch.
