It was perhaps written in the stars that Dublin and Mayo, the two dominant teams in Gaelic Football for more than a decade would be drawn together in the Quarter Finals of this year’s All-Ireland Championship.
Dublin have appeared in seven of the last twelve finals, winning them all, Mayo in five, without yet getting their hands on the Sam Maguire in living memory.
It will be a bumper crowd at Croke Park for the game next weekend with the days and times to be settled later today.
In the three other Quarter Finals Cork will play Derry, Kerry will face Tyrone and there will be an all Ulster clash between Armagh and Monaghan.
The two fixtures on Saturday will be shown live on GAAGo while the two games on Sunday will be live on RTÉ.
