The FAI eFlow Summer Soccer Schools programme for 2012 has been launched at the Aviva Stadium by senior international players Stephen Ward and Ciara Grant. The camps, with a strong focus on participation and fun, will be held at over 300 venues nationwide, and are open to boys and girls of all abilities from the ages of 6 to 14.
The camps start on Monday July 2nd, the day after the final of the Euro 2012 Championships and run through to the end of August.  The eFlow brand will feature on the full kit, football and back pack given out to each participant.
“We are proud to be associated with the FAI on this project which will reach out to 20,000 kids,” said Simon McBeth, Director of Communications and Community relations at eFlow.  “We had an existing relationship with soccer through Raheny United ladies team and a community blitz for under age teams from across north Dublin and Fingal.
“In talks with the FAI last year and it emerged that an Post were stepping away from the camps and we considered it a good fit.”
“Sport is integral to the health and spirit of local communities.  Aside from the marketing benefits of such a popular national programme, it satisfies our commitment to invest in local areas and give something back.”
“We are supporting this for an initial three years and we want to make it bigger and better each year.  We want to be active sponsors and do what we can to promote the initiative as well as our involvement.”
The camps are open for early booking now at www.summersoccerschools.ie and will be promoted via a facebook competition where kids can win the opportunity to play at the Aviva Stadium at half time during the Republic’s last home game before the summer against Bosnia on May 26th.
