Elverys launched the next phase of their #BringTheColour campaign through Dublin forward Paul Mannion in the capital yesterday.
The campaign seeks to encourage individuality in how you live and what you wear and Mannion is a great choice of ambassador.
He was one of a number of Dublin footballers who have given up an All Ireland campaign to do something different in their life.
Mannion was back this year and played his part in winning the All Ireland a little over two weeks ago but the 2015 final was one he watched from Hill 16 having taken a year out to travel to China as part of studying at UCD.
Rory O’Carroll and Jack McCaffrey are two more who have taken ‘time out’ from the intensity of playing Championship football and neither they nor the team and management seem to have any regrets.
If it means they return with a fresh hunger having likely played football at a competitive level for nearly ten years already before they left then it really does mean that everybody is a winner.
