The Camogie Association has signed a new three year partnership with EVOKE, Ireland’s leading website for Women in Ireland, as the National Referee Sponsor of the Camogie Association.
The sponsorship will commence at Sunday’s Glen Dimplex All-Ireland Camogie Championship Finals in Croke Park.
EVOKE’s National Referee Sponsorship will be across several prestigious competitions which include the Glen Dimplex Camogie All-Ireland Senior, Intermediate and Premier Junior Championships; the Very Camogie Leagues, AIB Camogie All-Ireland Club Championships, Electric Ireland Camogie Minor All-Ireland Championships and the
Camogie U16 All-Ireland Championships.
It is a strong addition to what has become a deep roster of commercial partnerships within the sport, built in the main since combining commercial and sponsorship forces with the GAA.
This partnership will feature an array of promotional activities to amplify the Camogie Association’s reach and engagement with EVOKE bringing the thrill of the sport to their audience through match coverage, player profiles and ticket competitions.
The Camogie Association is thrilled to join forces with EVOKE, whose commitment to empowering women aligns perfectly with our organisation’s ethos. Together, we aim to elevate the profile of camogie, inspire participation, and celebrate the exceptional talent within our sport.
“We are delighted to have EVOKE as the sponsor of our National Referees for the next three years across our key competitions,” said Camogie Association President Hilda Breslin.
“This sponsorship represents a significant opportunity to expand the reach of our game and introduce it to a wider audience. We sincerely appreciate EVOKE’s support during this pivotal time for women’s sports, as we strive to enhance both viewership and attendance at our matches.”
“Our referees play an integral role in the success of our sport, and their contribution is invaluable.”
“This is another step forward for the Camogie Association’s commercial programme in 2023 with announcements earlier in the year including new partnerships with Allianz and Electric Ireland.”
“Referees and Match officials are the unsung heroes of sport,” added Paul Henderson, CEO of DMG Media.
“No official – no play, it’s that simple. So we are especially proud to become National Referee Sponsor with the Camogie Association and look forward to using the vast reach of EVOKE and all of our DMG Media brands to promote the games and the players in the years ahead.”
DMG Media is a multi-media portfolio company comprising 11 brands, reaching 90% of the population in Ireland every month.
It has been an active supporter of Irish sporting organisations including the FAI and Cricket Ireland, particularly on the Women’s side using their campaign, #StrongerWithSport.
