The Republic of Ireland national football team has officially launched on TikTok, securing @Ireland as its profile.

It is expected that the account will deliver behind-the-scenes content from the Republic of Ireland Men’s and Women’s National teams as well as U-21 and all under-age teams.

There will be never seen before footage from previous camps, the best goals and celebrations, player challenges and, we are promised, “a bit of fun to bring you closer to the players than ever before.”

With crucial matches in the UEFA Nations League in September against Scotland and Armenia, the FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifier against Finland and the UEFA U-21 European Championship play-off against Israel, it will be a crucial month of action.

It will be interesting to watch how the social media team delivers in the same way it has to very good effect on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.

The Sport for Business Irish Sport on Social media report will be published next week.
