We understand that the deal will be as an official supplier and will cover the GAA as a whole.
It is believed to be a brand in the retail goods sector and may well prompt secondary promotional offers through Supervalu and Centra who are both already aligned to the All Ireland Football and Hurling Championships respectively.
We also understand that this will be a deal with a major brand, well used to marketing within sport albeit not previously with the Association.
It has been a strong year so far for the sponsorship team at Croke Park with extensions locked down with eir, Allianz, Etihad Airways, Supervalu and Centra.
Liberty Insurance are in year four of a five year deal while AIB are in Year two of an initial three year deal at inter county level.
