Glanbia and Avonmore have confirmed an extension of their long-running partnership with Kilkenny GAA.

The partnership first came into being back in 1993 and has now been running for 30 years.

All Kilkenny hurling and men’s football teams, as well as in Camogie, from Under 14 through to senior level will be included in the extension.

The jersey will once more carry the Avonmore milk logo while all leisure wear including track suits, polo shirts, windcheaters and kit bags will carry the Glanbia logo.

“Glanbia is proud to sponsor Kilkenny GAA for the upcoming season,” said Director of Corporate Affairs Martha Kavanagh.

“We value our longstanding partnership with the County Board and wish the new Team Management the very best for the year ahead. We are also delighted to continue our partnership with Kilkenny Camogie. Glanbia is a better nutrition company and our products and ingredients support active, healthy lifestyles all over the world. We’re proud to play our part in supporting Kilkenny for the season ahead.”

If of interest only as part of a table quiz, the sponsor that was on the Kilkenny shirts prior to Avonmore was a local construction company, Mahon & McPhillips.
