The summer of sport will belong in large part to the Republic of Ireland Women’s team in the FIFA World Cup.

RTÉ will be showing all the games live but there is something special about watching collectively and with Australia being something of a stretch to do that in person, watch parties will be a big part of the equation.

We have learned of what might be one of the best with Bohemian FC hiring in a big screen to show the games live to an audience of over a thousand fans watching from the Jodi Stand at Dalymount Park.

They have one commercial partner on board at the moment and are looking for one more to make it viable with the games then able to attract a vibrant audience to watch the big screen which will be positioned on the pitch.

It would be a great opportunity for Sky Ireland, Aviva or Cadbury to double down on their investment in backing the team and a great way to get close to recreating the atmosphere in Dublin that will be evident at Tallaght Stadium tonight for the final send-off game against France.

Branding and engagement opportunities will be part of the package and with the games kicking off in late morning and early afternoon slots it will be perfect to attract a young and likely very noisy audience. Perfect for a bit of content creation you might imagine.
