I will be at the Sport Ireland Annual Governance Conference this morning where sustainability and the governance code for sport will be high on the agenda.
The Conference is for Chairs and CEO’s of National Governing Bodies and Local Sports Partnerships and I will be there in my capacity as Chair of the Dublin City Sport and Wellbeing Partnership.
It is an important day in the calendar, refocusing on the importance of doing things in the right way for the right reasons.
Fiona Ross, Chair of CIE and the National Children’s Hospital Development Board will deliver the Keynote Address and there will also be contributions through the day from Michelle McAleer of the GAA, Clodagh NicAnna of Volleyball Ireland and Noel Doyle of Leave No trace Ireland.
There will be an update on the Women in Sport Leadership snapshot, vital this year more than ever with the deadline for achieving 40 per cent gender balance now only weeks away.
The event will be hosted by Joanne O’Riordan and we will carry a report of some of the highlights in today’s PM Bulletin.
