The Gymnastics Ireland Senior Men’s Team made up of Rhys McClenaghan, Dominick Cunningham, Daniel Fox, Eamon Montgomery and Ewan McAteer were on hand yesterday at the Sport Ireland Campus to showcase their skills along with Junior team member Niall Hooton.

The men will compete in qualifications at the European Championships in Munich on Thursday 18th and Friday 19th August.

Apparatus Finals will take place on Sunday 21st August with live coverage expected to be shown as part of RTÉ’s extensive coverage of the event.

The Women’s Senior team comprising of teenagers Emma Slevin, Emily Moorhead, Bláthnaid Higgins, Halle Hilton and Kate Molloy are due to start their competition tomorrow Thursday 11th August.

The Senior Women’s Team departed for Munich last Sunday accompanied by the Women’s Junior Team of Lily Russell, Sophie McGuinness, Maeve McGuinness, Caoimhe Ní Drisceoil and Aisling Hurley, ranging in age from 13 to 15, who are competing this Friday 12th August.

The Women’s Junior Apparatus Finals will be on between 9 AM and 12 Noon on Sunday with the Seniors taking place between 13:30 and 16:30
