In a boost of confidence for the Ireland Women’s cricket team, Hanley Energy has signed a two-year extension of its sponsor partnership with Cricket Ireland.

Despite the Ireland Women’s playing programme being severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, this welcome news is a much-needed boost that has shown both a commitment by Hanley Energy to support women’s cricket and a vote of confidence in the future direction of the women’s game in Ireland.

“Cricket Ireland is delighted that such a long-term partner as Hanley Energy has renewed their commitment to the sport, particularly their enthusiastic backing of the senior women’s team,” said Cricket Ireland Commercial Director Dennis Cousins.

“It goes without saying that the last year has been a tough one for everyone, but it provides a great deal of confidence and pride for all involved in our great game to see our business supporters stick with us through such uncertain times.”

“Hanley Energy has proudly been a key partner of Irish Cricket since 2015, and sponsor of the women’s senior side specifically since 2017. We’re delighted to be extending our partnership for a further two years to 2023,” added Niall Franklin, Marketing Manager for Hanley Energy.

“The renewal will see us remain as the Official Sponsor of the Irish Senior Women’s Cricket Team and Official Technology Partner of Cricket Ireland.”

“We have a shared ambition with Cricket Ireland to grow the game on the island of Ireland. We are very proud that our support encompasses women’s, men’s and the Cricket Ireland game at all levels. Now with the extended partnership, we look forward and remain focused on supporting the transformation of our next generation of elite players.”

The company supplies energy systems primarily for use in data centres and has operations around the world, managed from headquarters in Ireland.
