Harvey Norman has been announced as the new sponsor of GAA Hawk-Eye and as the first official Statistics sponsor of the Camogie Association.
This further expands Harvey Norman Ireland’s GAA sponsorship portfolio that includes being the Official GAA Statistics sponsor.
The new deal will be activated during live televised games via the GAA’s broadcast partners RTÉ, TG4 and GAA+.
Harvey Norman GAA Hawk-Eye will be available to fans in Croke Park via the big screens, where live statistics are also on show during televised games.
The Camogie Statistics Sponsorship will be seen on-screen on RTÉ’s coverage of the latter stages of the Glen Dimplex Camogie All Ireland Championships.
“We are thrilled to expand our partnership with the GAA and indeed to become a sponsor of the Camogie Association,” said Tim Hannon, CEO Harvey Norman Ireland.
“The GAA holds a special place in Irish culture, and its motto of ‘Where We All Belong’ is similar to our ethos of providing an inclusive environment for our staff and customers.”
“With 18 stores across Ireland, we know we have thousands of GAA and Camogie fans working and shopping in our stores every day and we’re excited to support the GAA and the Camogie Association in any way we can. We look forward to working with the Associations locally and nationally for many years to come.”
“At the GAA, we are pleased and grateful that Harvey Norman is expanding its sponsorship with us to include GAA Hawk-Eye,” said President Jarlath Burns.
“GAA supporters enjoy the unmissable moments of sporting drama and tension when the Harvey Norman GAA Hawk-Eye delivers a ‘Tá’ or ‘Níl’ on the big screens and on television.”
President of the Camogie Association, Brian Molloy, also welcomed the announcement.
“We welcome Harvey Norman as our first official statistics sponsor,” he said.
“Harvey Norman has been a strong sponsor of GAA as the Statistics Sponsor, and this expanded sponsorship brings a tremendous boost for the development of Camogie.”
