Hiscox Ireland, the award-winning Commercial and Personal insurance specialist, has been announced as the Official Insurance Partner of the 2024 KPMG Women’s Irish Open at Carton House, a Fairmont-managed hotel in Maynooth, Co. Kildare.

With 32 offices across 14 countries, Hiscox employs over 3000 staff globally and is known most notably for their sponsorship of cricket and creative arts, so this maiden investment into women’s golf is extremely welcome by both its stakeholders and The KPMG Women’s Irish Open.

“Just like Hiscox Ireland, women’s golf is enjoying continuous growth, and we’re delighted to align ourselves with one of the most highly anticipated events on the Ladies European Tour,” said Richard O’Dwyer, Managing Director of Hiscox Ireland.

“We’ll be watching Leona Maguire and Stephanie Meadow closely during these Olympic games, and we’re very proud to contribute to a key sporting event on home soil. ”

“Seeing the Hiscox branding at the iconic O’Meara Course will be a personal highlight as we continue to grow our presence in Ireland as a specialist commercial and personal insurance solutions provider and increase our brand footprint.”

“We wish all competitors the very best when they visit Co. Kildare later this month, but we hope for a home victory for the first time.”

“I am thrilled that renowned insurance specialist Hiscox has come on board as the official insurance partner for the KPMG Women’s Irish Open,” added Cian Branagan, CEO of ForeFront group.

“Hiscox has a very established presence in Ireland and across the UK, and we are delighted to be working with and supported by their team for this year’s Championship.”

The KPMG Women’s Irish Open will take place from August 29 to September 1 at Carton House. Olympians and Solheim Cup teammates Leona Maguire and Georgia Hall have been confirmed as star players. They will be joined by top LET players Annabel Dimmock and Olivia Cowan.

Leading Irish professionals Lauren Walsh and Olivia Mehaffey have also been confirmed for the tournament. The elite field of female golfers will be competing for a prize fund of €400,000 as they try to claim Smilla Tarning Sønderby’s 2023 title.

KPMG is the Title Partner for the event, with Sports Direct, Amundi, and Amgen as Premium Partners; BMW, Novellus, and Nespresso as co-sponsors; the Ladies European Tour, Sport Ireland, Fáilte Ireland, Kildare County Council, Into Kildare, Carton House, and Forefront Sports as host partners; and Sport for Business, Sky Sports, and RTÉ are among the media partners for the event.
