Great news from South Africa this lunchtime when half-centuries from Georgina Dempsey and Zara Craig guided Ireland Women’s Under-19s into the Super Six stage of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.
They set up a 49-run victory over Indonesia at the JB Marks Oval.
This means they progress to the Super 6 stage where they will meet England on Saturday morning and Pakistan on Monday morning.
Getting to play in competition and against some of the world’s leading teams is a great achievement amnd will stand to these players as they come through to the senior level.
