The Irish Men’s Cricket team get their 2024 World Cup Campaign underway in new York today, facing the might of India.
The game will be shown live in full on Sky Sports starting at 3:30 pm.
There is expected to be a strong Irish and Indian support in the ground and if Ireland were to pull off a shock it would go down as one of the biggest in their history at the top table if World Cricket.
We will update here as the afternoon progresses…
It has been a tough start for the boys in green with their innings now complete at 96 runs.
Four Irish players made it into double figures with Gareth Delaney leading the way with 26.
India are now overwhelming favourites to finish the game with plenty to spare.
Next up for Ireland will be Canada on Friday 7th June and then the United States seven days later.
