The Northern Ireland men’s team begin their two step journey to the World Cup in Italy on Thursday night and one of the Irish FA’s main sponsors has announced an extension with the team ahead of the big game.
Clearer Twist has added its branding to the Northern Ireland senior men’s training kit, strengthening an already established partnership with the Irish Football Association.
The Clearer Twist logo appeared for the first time on the back of training tops this week as the squad prepared for their FIFA World Cup 2026 play-off semi-final against Italy. The branding will feature across training sessions and on matchdays, increasing the visibility of the premium mixer brand at a pivotal moment in Northern Ireland’s campaign.
The move builds on a growing relationship between Clearer Group and the Irish FA, which has developed significantly over the past two years.
In 2024, the company secured the naming rights to the National Football Stadium at Windsor Park, now rebranded as the Clearer Twist National Stadium at Windsor Park. As part of that agreement, Clearer Twist also became the official mixer partner of both the men’s and women’s senior national teams.
Ross Lazaroo-Hood, Co-Founder and Global CEO of Clearer Group, said the addition of the brand to the training kit reflected a deeper alignment with the national team set-up.
“A national team’s kit represents the pride of being worn while working hard to represent your country, from the players, coaching staff and management team along with the tremendous fans who support them every step of the way,” he said.
“With the FIFA Men’s World Cup 2026 qualifier upon us, we are proud to announce that Clearer Twist will be on the senior men’s training kits, continuing the Clearer Group’s long-term support of all the national football squads and the Irish FA.
“We are excited to see the national team wearing this training kit as we build towards an incredible moment for the game and Northern Ireland.”
The latest development follows a series of long-term agreements agreed in September 2023. Under its Clearer Water brand, the group became the official water partner for Northern Ireland’s national teams and secured exclusive water supply rights at the National Stadium for a decade.
In the same month, Clearer Group also committed to a 10-year deal as title sponsor of the Irish FA Challenge Cup, widely known as the Irish Cup.
Beyond its commercial activity, the Larne-based company has positioned itself as a socially responsible employer, supporting a mixed-ability workforce and providing training and career opportunities for young people with additional needs and those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
The addition of training kit branding marks the latest step in what has become a wide-ranging and long-term partnership between Clearer Group and football in Northern Ireland.
