The Federation of Irish Sport backed Irish Sport Industry Awards will take place this evening in the Banking Hall of the College Green (formerly Westin) Hotel.

It is a night of celebration for the sector and will be packed with leaders from the sporting, business and Government communities.

Michael McGrath TD, Minister for Finance will deliver the keynote address and having the Minister of Finance in the room is a reflection of the importance that Government attaches to sport.

There was a record number of submissions for this year’s award across every category and the process of shortlisting was a real challenge in the face of such quality work being undertaken in the sector.

The 11 award categories celebrated represent a cross-section of enterprise, sporting organisations and individuals that fuel and drive the promotion, management, growth, and sustainability of sport in Ireland. The eight open category nominees were revealed ten days ago, see below for the shortlists.
